The Crypt Studio

About this space

Situated in a mid-Victorian church on Crouch Hill, and bathed in natural light, The Crypt's wood-floored Studio One sounds superb and has bags of character. The space, which has hosted many top artists, is home to an eclectic collection of classic and vintage mics, instruments, amps and drum kits: a Rhodes Stage keyboard, a rare butterfly Wurlitzer, a Hammond organ, grand and upright pianos, a vintage '60s Ludwig kit + more. Meanwhile, our state-of-the-art control room is Dolby Atmos-certified, perfectly tuned and featuring ADAM Audio’s flagship S3H monitors. The control room is centered around a 48-channel Amek analogue console, with Rupert Neve-designed preamps, with classic outboard and top preamps. The studio is in the care of our in-house engineer David Simpson, who has credits including Dua Lipa, Clean Bandit, Liam Gallagher and Lianne La Havas. Services include: - Recording - Mixing - Dolby Atmos Mixing - Filmed Live Sessions - Podcasting - Location Sound - Post- Production - Composing
